The Atlanta Madhatters return to game action this weekend with a three-game road series against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights at Revolution Ice Centre. The series marks Atlanta’s first games back since the holiday break, with the Hatters last skating on Dec. 21 in a tightly contested shootout loss to the Red Bank Generals.
Despite the time off, Atlanta enters the weekend looking to build momentum from recent individual performances. Forward Tyler Mason has been productive over the last stretch, collecting 11 points in his past 10 games and continuing to be a reliable offensive presence for the Hatters.
On the other side, the Knights will be led by John Mrotchek, who has been effective against Atlanta in previous meetings, including a hat trick in his most recent appearance versus the Hatters. Limiting his opportunities will be a key focus as Atlanta settles back into game rhythm.
Schedule:
Friday, Jan. 9 — 3:00 PM
Saturday, Jan. 10 — 2:00 PM
Sunday, Jan. 11 — 1:00 PM
Head Coach Jason Lindsay emphasized the importance of a steady approach coming out of the break. “After some time away, the goal is to get back to playing our game right away,” Lindsay said. “We’ve had good preparation leading into this weekend, and this series will be a good test for us on the road.”
With three games in three days, consistency and discipline will be important as the Madhatters look to start the second half of the season on a positive note.
