Madhatters Battle Through January Stretch, Close with OT Road Win

The Atlanta Madhatters battled through a demanding stretch of games, facing tough road tests and home matchups before closing the run with a statement overtime win that showcased their resilience and growth.


JAN 9 (L, 3–0):

The Atlanta Madhatters opened their road stretch on January 9 with a 3–0 loss to the Scranton Knights. Scranton controlled play early and applied pressure throughout the game, forcing Atlanta to spend extended time defending. The Madhatters stayed committed to their structure and worked to generate chances, but were unable to break through offensively. While the result didn’t go their way, Atlanta competed throughout and took lessons from the road matchup as they prepared for the next night.


JAN 10 (L, 4–1):

Atlanta closed out the weekend on January 10 with a 4–1 loss to the Scranton Knights. Scranton built momentum early, but the Madhatters continued to battle and push back despite playing from behind. Gage Kraus scored Atlanta’s lone goal, providing a spark midway through the game. Although the Knights capitalized on key opportunities, Atlanta stayed engaged and competed through the final horn as the road trip continued.


JAN 11 (L, 6–0):

The Madhatters wrapped up their road stretch on January 11 with a 6–0 loss to the Scranton Knights. Scranton controlled the pace and maintained steady pressure, forcing Atlanta to defend for much of the game. The Madhatters continued to work for scoring chances but were unable to find the back of the net. Despite the final score, Atlanta remained engaged and focused on regrouping as they looked ahead to the next opportunity.


JAN 16 (W, 7–5):

Atlanta responded on January 16 with a 7–5 home win over the Red Bank Generals in a high-scoring, back-and-forth game. Ethan Finlay led the way with five goals, while Tyler Mason and Marek Klos added important tallies to keep Atlanta ahead. The game featured frequent momentum swings, but the Madhatters stayed composed and answered every push from Red Bank to secure the home victory.


JAN 21 (L, 5–1):

The Madhatters were tested on January 21 in a 5–1 home loss to the Scranton Knights. Scranton set the tone early and capitalized on scoring chances, while Atlanta worked to stay competitive throughout the game. Vincent Lattarulo scored the lone goal for the Madhatters, providing a brief spark. Atlanta continued to compete shift by shift and took positives from the effort despite the result.


JAN 23 (L, 8–4):

Atlanta came up short in an 8–4 road loss to the Hershey Cubs on January 23. The game featured a fast pace and multiple momentum swings. Alexei Spence scored twice for the Madhatters, with Tyler Mason and Louka Dorgere also finding the back of the net. Hershey’s offense proved difficult to contain, but Atlanta stayed engaged and continued to generate chances through all three periods.


JAN 27 (L, 4–0):

The Madhatters returned to the road on January 27 and dropped a 4–0 decision to the Connecticut Junior Rangers. Connecticut controlled play from the opening faceoff, limiting Atlanta’s offensive opportunities. The Madhatters worked to stay structured defensively and competed throughout, using the game as a learning opportunity moving forward.


JAN 28 (L, 5–3):

Atlanta followed up on January 28 with a 5–3 home loss to the Connecticut Junior Rangers. Nolan Stott, Roman Barnes, and Vincent Lattarulo scored for the Madhatters to keep the game within reach. Connecticut capitalized on timely chances, but Atlanta remained competitive and continued to push offensively until the final horn.


JAN 31 (W, 3–2 OT):

The Madhatters earned a 3–2 overtime road win over the Red Bank Generals on January 31. Nolan Stott recorded a hat trick, scoring all three goals for Atlanta, including the overtime winner. The game remained tight throughout regulation, with both teams trading chances. Atlanta stayed disciplined and earned the extra point with a strong finish in overtime.


FEB 3 (L, 7–1):

Atlanta faced a tough challenge on February 3, falling 7–1 at home to the Hershey Cubs. Hershey applied pressure early and controlled much of the play, forcing Atlanta to defend for long stretches. Ethan Finlay scored the lone goal for the Madhatters. Despite the score, Atlanta continued to compete and focused on building toward the next matchup.


FEB 4 (L, 5–3):

The Madhatters followed up on February 4 with a 5–3 loss to the Hershey Cubs in a competitive home matchup. Alexei Spence opened the scoring for Atlanta, while Gage Kraus and Vincent Lattarulo added goals to keep the game close. Atlanta pushed late, generating chances, but Hershey sealed the result with a late goal.


FEB 6 (L, 9–2):

Atlanta dropped a 9–2 decision to the P.A.L. Junior Islanders on February 6. P.A.L. controlled the pace early and built a lead, forcing Atlanta to play from behind. Ethan Finlay scored both goals for the Madhatters. Despite the result, Atlanta continued to work and compete through all three periods.


FEB 8 (W, 5–4 OT):

The Madhatters closed the stretch with a 5–4 overtime road win against the Hershey Cubs on February 8. Ethan Finlay scored twice, while Gage Kraus added two goals, including the overtime winner. William Schaeffer also scored in regulation as the teams traded chances throughout the game. Atlanta stayed composed in overtime and earned a hard-fought road victory.
