Madhatters Bring Overtime Momentum Back to PNY Sports Arena

The Atlanta Madhatters return to PNY Sports Arena this week for a three-game homestand, coming off a statement overtime win on the road against the Hershey Cubs.

Atlanta earned a 5–4 victory in overtime at Hersheypark Arena, showing resilience and composure in a back-and-forth contest. Ethan Finlay continued his strong offensive play with two goals, while Gage Kraus matched that total and delivered the game-winner in overtime. William Schaeffer also found the scoresheet, contributing to a balanced offensive effort.

Between the pipes, Foster Lavallee was a difference-maker, turning aside 41 shots and giving the Hatters a chance to win deep into the game. His performance allowed Atlanta to weather sustained pressure and capitalize when opportunities presented themselves.

“That was a big character win for our group,” said head coach Jason Lindsay. “We stayed composed, didn’t panic when the game swung, and found a way to get rewarded. That’s the kind of effort we want to build off of.”

Atlanta now looks to carry that momentum into a busy stretch at home, starting Wednesday afternoon against the PAL Junior Islanders. The matchup opens a run of three games in five days, offering the Hatters an opportunity to establish consistency and protect home ice.

The homestand continues Friday night with a matchup against the Red Bank Generals, followed by a Sunday evening contest against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. Each game presents a different challenge, but the focus remains the same for Atlanta: structured play, strong goaltending, and timely scoring.

“We’re at the point of the season where habits matter,” Lindsay added. “Home ice gives us an advantage, but we still have to earn it every shift.”

With confidence coming off a hard-fought road win and a full slate ahead at PNY, the Madhatters will look to keep building as the schedule tightens and points become increasingly valuable.
